SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist the special education or regular education teacher in all phases of classroom activities to meet the needs of special education students.
2. Assists the special education teacher in implementing the components of each child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
3. Assists the special education teacher in providing for the physical needs of the children in the class such as helping with toilet procedures, assisting in feeding the children, and attending to their individual needs.
4. Performs other duties as assigned by the special education director, teacher and/or principal.
5. Regular in person attendance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have completed at least 2 years of study (48 semester hours) at an institution of higher education; or
2. Obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree; or
3. Met a rigorous standard of quality as determined by a formal assessment. Stanford Achievement Test – Advance 1, Form J (Reading, language & spelling), District Developed Mathematics Problems. District Developed Written Paragraph; Oral reading
